Recent Developments

• Judge stays SEC action pending resolution of Kenneth I. Starr criminal case and issues order for preliminary injunction, but the Receiver’s duties and responsibilities to recover assets remain in effect.
• The Receiver files interim report on recovery efforts.
• The Receiver files notice to the clients of Starr Investment Advsiors, LLC and/or Starr & Company, LLC concerning the appointment of the Receiver, the Receiver’s preservation of clients’ files, and the manner in which clients can request and obtain copies of their files.
• Court orders extension of temporary restraining order until July 8, 2010 and orders a hearing on the plaintiffs’ motion for preliminary injunction to take place on July 8, 2010.
• Court appoints Aurora Cassirer of Troutman Sanders LLP as the Receiver in SEC v. Kenneth Ira Starr, et al. (10-civ-4270-SHS).
